
Mara Higginbotham
Mara Higginbotham is a Research Coordinator for the Laboratory for Rehabilitation Neuroscience. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida in August of 2021, where she majored in Health Education and Behavior and had a specialization in community health promotion. Throughout her time in the lab, she has served as one of the main coordinators for Dr. Vaillancourt’s Preclinical Markers of Parkinsonism research study. Her main responsibilities have included administering clinical scales, cognitive testing, and motor testing; she also independently runs the MRI protocol. Additionally, she assists with recruiting, booking, and coordinating schedules for patient visits. Mara has enjoyed her time in the lab and believes that the skills acquired from this position will aid in future endeavors.
