Francisco Zhou
Francisco graduated with his Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida where he majored in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology with a minor in Business Administration. In 2023, he interned in the Sports Performance Center here at UF, helping perform sport and gait analyses, body composition measurements, and nutrition assessments with the goals of optimizing sports performance and injury prevention. He additionally performed fitness assessments and developed exercise plans with patients in a pediatric endocrine obesity clinic, promoting lifestyle changes to aid with weight loss. Francisco now works as a clinical research coordinator in the LRN. Alongside providers and the research team at the Norman Fixel Institute for Neurological Disease, he will be helping with Dr. Vaillancourt’s ADRC Consortium for Clarity in ADRD Research Through Imaging research study. He is excited to learn more about the research process and further his knowledge in clinical research as he prepares to apply to medical schools over the next year.
