Adury Rabeya Zinnat

Doctoral Student

Adury Rabeya Zinnat is a Ph.D. student in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology department. She completed her B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. Later, she earned her M.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Florida Intl. University. Her master’s thesis concerned improving stimulation paradigms in artificial ventilation. She performed animal studies by implementing an adaptive closed-loop system and developed a technique to reduce stimulation-induced fatigue during functional electrical stimulation to diaphragm muscle. Her research goal also included to elicit sigh-like-behavior aiming to mimic natural breathing behavior. Currently, she is working under supervision of Dr. David E. Vaillancourt in Laboratory of Rehabilitation Neuroscience.

Research Interests
Adury’s current research work focuses on neural mechanism of movement disorder in dystonic animal model using magnetic resonance imaging technique.
