Vinh Nguyen

Doctoral Student

Vinh Nguyen is a Ph.D. student in the Rehabilitation Neuroscience Laboratory. He completed her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science at Angelo State University. His undergraduate thesis focused on comparing the effectiveness of active and passive modalities on the active range of motion, power output, and muscle activation using positioning transducer and wireless electromyography (EMG). He presented his work at the Texas Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine Annual Meeting in poster format.

Research Interests
Vinh’s research currently focuses on using neuroimaging techniques to understand neural mechanisms underlying pain and to evaluate the efficacy of therapeutic interventions for pain.
