Samantha Sadorf
Samantha graduated from the University of Florida in May 2026 with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology. As an undergraduate, she worked in the UF Integrative Cardiovascular Physiology Laboratory and conducted collegiate EMS research through the Gator Emergency Medical Response Unit and The Journal of Collegiate Emergency Medical Services (JCEMS), presenting posters at national conferences and publishing articles through JCEMS. She also spent a summer as a Visiting Scholar at the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research, studying long-term outcomes following total knee arthroplasty. Alongside her research, she worked as an on-campus EMT and continues to teach a first responder course at UF.
Samantha is now a Clinical Research Coordinator in the LRN lab, working with Dr. Stephen Coombes on the Understanding Pain Biology in Elders Across Time (UPBEAT) study, which focuses on aging and pain. She is particularly interested in EEG and how neural activity relates to pain. She also remains heavily involved with JCEMS, where she builds curriculum covering foundational research topics and coordinates the program to help students learn how to conduct research.
